            Clos de Vougeot アペラシオン解説

            • Côte de Nuits地域で最大かつ最も有名なGrand cru vineyardsです。
            • 広さは 50.9ha(125a) で、Côte d'Or. 全体で[Corton]に次いで 2 番目の広さです。 
            •  Vougeot 村の大半は「Grand Cru」ですが4つの「Premier cru」と「village-level」のワインがあります。
            • Clos de Vougeot は11世紀にシトー修道会の修道士によってワイン造りが始められ、後に畑の周りにClos(壁) と châteauが築かれます。

            • フランス革命後、土地は国に没収され1791 年にオークションで売却されます。その後、一連の所有者変更の後、ナポレオンの銀行家の息子Julien-Jules Ouvrardが入手します。そして、1889年に地元のネゴシアンに売却されるまで、ほぼ 19 世紀を通じて Ouvrard 家の手中にありました。
            • その後の所有権の変更により、土地は分割され、現在Clos de Vougeot は、80 以上の生産者が所有する 100 の異なる区画に分割されています。
            Clos de Vougeotは1937年に公式にGrand cruとして分類されていますが、テロワールの実際の質ではなく畑の周りに築かれたClos（壁）の位置に従っています。

            区画のテロワールは実に多様であり、さまざまな土壌や側面があり傾斜は大きく異なります。細分化される前であれば全体からのブドウをブレンドして、単一のラベルClos de Vougeotの下でバランスの取れたスタイルを実現できたから問題ではありませんでした。

            現在、各生産者はテロワールの小さな区画からワインを造っていますので、グラン・クリュのステータスに値するワインもそうでない場合もあります。これは、現代のクロ・ド・ヴージョのワインの品質が大きく異なることを意味します。
            故に購入時は生産者とヴィンテージを考慮してください。
