世の中には同じような商品名がたくさんあります。ワインではボルドー右岸地区に多い様です😖。幸いな事にワインには法律でボトルにラベル貼付けが義務付けられておりラベルの絵柄を覚えておけば買い間違いは無いです😁😂
「Gaffeliere」「Canon」の付いた名前を名乗るワイナリーが6個有ります。買い間違わない様に簡単解説とワインラベルを表記している記事を書きました。
Château La Gaffelière：St.Emilion 地区の Premiers Grands Crus Classes-B に格付けされる名門シャトーです。Merlot と Cabernet Franc を主体とした、エレガントでバランスの取れたワインを生み出しています。以前は、Château Gaffelière-Naudes という名称でした。
Château Canon-La-Gaffelière：こちらも St.Emilion 地区に位置するシャトーです。上記のChâteau La Gaffelière のすぐ近くにあり、かつては同じ所有者によって管理されていましたが、現在は別々のシャトーとして運営されています。現在の所有者である Stephan von Neipperg 伯爵は、Saint-Émilion の La Mondotte, Clos de L'Oratoire, Château Peyreau に加え、ボルドー周辺の他のいくつかの醸造所も所有しています。
両者ともかつては Malet-Roquefort 伯爵が所有する大きな地所だった。現在、Château La Gaffelière は Malet-Roquefort 伯爵の子孫が所有しています。一方の Château Canon La Gaffelière は、1971年に Von Neipperg 伯爵家が買収しました。

Saint-Émillion の格付け
- St-Emilion の格付けは、1855年のパリ万国博覧会を機に制定されたにメドックの格付け発表から約100年後の1954年、国の公的機関である INAO(国立原産地名称研究所)で制定されました。有名な五大シャトーを有するメドックの格付けが150年以上たった今でも Ch.Mouton Rothschild の例外を除いて変更がないのに対して、St-Emilion の格付けは10年毎に見直しを行うルールになっており、これまでに6回（1969年、1986年、1996年、2006年、2012年、2022年）改訂されています。
- ボルドー右岸の St-Emilion の格付けは他のエリアの格付けに比べて非常に厳しく、ボルドーの格付けの中では最も信頼できるものと言われていますが、格付けはそれぞれのシャトーのワインの価格やブランド性に大きく影響を及ぼしますので改定時に物議を醸し出しているのも事実です。
