- 【consultant Enorogu】Michel Rolland は、1989年から2005年の期間醸造コンサルタントを務めていた。このヴィンテージは、Michel Rolland の在任期間中です。
- この土地の歴史は12世紀からあると言われており、元々は、この地方の大地主であるモンテスキュー家の一部が分離してできたシャトーであるとされている。
シャトー名は、その頃に建てられた城の一部である塔に由来しており、以前は単に「シャトー・ラトゥール」と呼ばれていましたが、1級シャトーのラトゥールとの競合から、所在地のマルティヤック村の名前をつけてCh.Latour Martillacと変更する。
有機栽培を採用しており、20世紀初頭までは白ワインのみを作っていましたが、現在では赤ワインの比率の方が多くなってきています。赤、白ともにGravesの格付けワインに指定されています。

Louis Latour
- Louis Latour (Domaine Louis Latour) は、 Burgundy 地方の主要なネゴシアンであり、ワイン生産者でもあります。扱うワインの大部分は、 Pinot Noir と Chardonnay品種から造られています。
- この会社は1797年に設立され、今日でも家族によって所有・運営されています。このドメーヌ（ワイン醸造所）は、 Burgundy 地方の生産者の中で最も広大な、およそ48haの Grand cru vineyard 特級畑を所有しています。
- 畑は Burgundy 全域に加えて、フランス南部の Ardèche や Var 地方にも多くの畑を持っています。
- Latour family 家は、17世紀にまでさかのぼる Aloxe-Corton でのブドウ栽培の歴史を持っています。
- 50haの広大な畑を取得し、1834年に Corton Grancey の醸造所を建設しました。
- この醸造所は、フランスで初めて、ブドウやワインの移動にポンプを使わず、重力だけで行う「グラヴィティ・フロー」方式を採用するために5階建てとして造られました。
- Louis Latour 社の所有するブドウ畑の大部分は Aloxe-Corton にあり、そのうち 10.5ha は、特に有名な Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru の畑です。
- しかし、同社はそれ以外にも、Le Montrachet や Romanée-Saint-Vivant など、他のいくつかの Grand cru や Premier cru の畑も所有しています。
- Louis Latour 社が提供する幅広い種類のワインは、それぞれの地域やブドウ畑の区画が持つテロワール（土壌や気候などの自然条件）に基づいて造られています。
- 赤ワインは、まず French oak 桶で発酵させられた後、最長で12ヶ月間、樽の中で熟成されます。一方、Chardonnay は、ステンレス製のタンクで発酵させてから、オー樽で熟成されます。
- 1979年、より手頃な価格で Viognier や Chardonnay を生産するために、フランス中南部の Ardèche 川沿いに畑を取得しました。同じように、フランス南東部の Var 地方でも Pinot Noir の生産のために畑を取得しています。
- Louis Latour は、世界中の多くの国で販売されており、もっとも認知度の高いBurgundy の生産者の一つです。1997年に、「家族経営を続けており、創業から200年以上経っていて、なおかつ創業者の名前を冠している企業」だけが入会を許される特別な団体 Hénokiens club に入会しました 。

Domaine Latour-Giraud
- Domaine Latour-Giraud は、Burgundy の中心地、Côte d'Or 地区 Côte de Beaune にある Meursault 村を拠点とするワイン生産者です。
- このドメーヌは、主に地元の主要品種である Chardonnay を使ったワインを中心に様々な銘柄を生産していますが、Pinot Noir を使った赤ワインもいくつか手掛けています。
- 所有する畑は約10haあり、その約85%が Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Bourgogne Blanc などの白ワインのアペラシオン（原産地呼称）に充てられています。残りの15%は Pinot Noir で、Meursault と、隣接する Volnay と Pommard で栽培されています。
- Meursault Premier Cru では、特に評価の高い Genevrières vineyard に2.5haを所有しているほか、Perrières, Charmes, Poruzots, Bouchères にも区画を持っています。
- Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru で Champs-Canet も生産しています。
- ドメーヌが栽培する Pinot Noir のほぼすべてが premier cru vineyard にあり、Refène (Pommard), Clos des Chênes (Volnay) , Caillerets (Meursault) といった区画が含まれます。さらに、Pommard のアペラシオンの最西端にある2区画のブドウら Pommard Cuvée Carmen というワインも造られています。
- Domaine Latour-Giraud は、地元の蒸留業者 Giraud 家とブドウ栽培農家 Latour-Boillot 家が結婚によって結ばれたことにより、1958年に設立されました。現在は、 Jean-Pierre と妹の Florence Latour 兄弟によって運営されています。
